WWII- Nuremberg- 1945 the war is over but the despair is not. With no shelter and no food thousands upon thousands try
to figure out what had happened and why. At the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, Nazi leaders are tried for their war crimes.
Justice Robert H. Jackson is the American prosecutor who makes his opening statement. The Nazis started to grow in the 1920s
and Hitler's book, "Mein Kampf" explained his "master" plan, which his followers religiously preached. Army recruitment was
required and by 1936 the Nazis had their army and were ready for battle. The Munich Pact was brought forth and signed between
the countries of Germany, England, France and Italy. Soon after Hitler broke his agreement. War was inevitable. Film goes
on to explain in detail what these men are accused of. The defense is then given permission to give their opening statements
and to try to explain the actions of the men accused. The accused take the stand and are cross examined. The prosecution and
the defense finally give their closing statements. On October 1st, 1946 the judges have reached their decisions and read their
verdict.
