Did The Holocaust Play A Role In The Establishment Of The State Of Israel?
In his book "A Durable Peace: Israel and its Place Among the Nations - Israel at 50" former Israeli PM Benjamin
Netanyahu made the following statement:
For the Jewish people, therefore, the history of the twentieth century may be summed up thus: If there had been a Jewish
state in the first half of the century, there would have been no Holocaust. And if there had not been a Jewish state after
the Holocaust, there would have been no Jewish future. The State of Israel is not only the repository of the millennial Jewish
hopes for redemption; it is also the one practical instrument for assuring Jewish survival.
A statement nobody can prove wrong for it is not based on facts but soley on a hypothesis.
Israel emerged from the Holocaust & is defined in relation to that catastrophe"(Emanuel Litvinoff).
"Since the Second World War, Jews have been treated with silk gloves. Without Auschwitz, there would
be no Israel."

Allright,an international political movement that supports a homeland for the Jewish people in the
Land of Israel.Your case would be true if "Alliah" started after 1945 with jewish immigrants. Nothing can be further for the
truth.Zionist movement founded by Herlz(1860-1904). Second,Third and Forth Alliyah(1904-1929).The Balfour Declaration 1917
was the first legal statement for the creation of th state of Israel.
This is what Israel is founded on.Not the holocaust.
Is valid that the holocaust is one of the reasons for the creation of the state of Israel. But you seem
to forget the Balfour Declaration sign on 1917'.Ideas of right of return even pre-"Der Judenstaat." You seem to want to deviate
our argument into discusing the state of Israel. I wonder why do you need to incorporate this? Tell me who is promoting this
other side that you speak of? you?,Lets analize this contradictions that you are bringing to the table.
